A three-dimensional tailor-made suit for flat roofs - this is what the German-Austrian company Coverit offers. The specialist for the prefabrication of three-dimensional roof waterproofing represents the product of the German rubber manufacturer Saar-Gummi and has been at home in the flat roof waterproofing and waterproofing technology sector in Austria since the early 1980s and in Germany since 2015.
The company is committed to producing prefabricated tarpaulins for objects that need to be waterproofed, so that the installer or roofer no longer has to weld almost anything themselves on the construction site. Shaped parts such as roof penetrations and edgings can all be welded in at the factory. The installer is therefore supplied with the right sheet for his project. The objects that can be edged include drainage systems, skylight domes, pipe penetrations and covers of all types and shapes. In principle, any shape can be prefabricated in the factory - in the old-fashioned way, by hand. Modern equipment such as plotters etc. are also used on the production area of almost 4000 square meters in the factory. Prefabricated tarpaulins can be supplied in one piece up to a size of 1500 square meters.
So that fabricators can see the welding process for themselves, they have the opportunity to try it out themselves on a small bag or take a look at the inductive fastening system from SFS, the Novowell system. EPDM can also be welded just like any other plastic tarpaulin using a hot air gun to create a homogeneous seam. The product is durable, acid-resistant, dimensionally stable and root-resistant according to all standard test criteria. It has been on the market in precisely this mixture since the early 1960s. A long-term study now puts its service life at over 55 years. Reference roofs from the 70s and 80s are still working perfectly.
