Messe Friedrichshafen, with its exposed location on beautiful Lake Constance, is operated by Messe Friedrichshafen GmbH, whose main shareholder is the city of Friedrichshafen in Baden-Württemberg. The exhibition grounds cover an area of 87,500 square meters and have 12 halls and three large outdoor areas for exhibitions and events of all kinds. The outdoor area can also be considerably extended for various events. The exhibition grounds are located to the north-east of the city of Friedrichshafen, opposite the airport. It can be reached by public buses and shuttle buses. The exhibition grounds include a conference center, a press center, a digital studio, the project management office, a painting workshop and the exhibition roof with a media channel. Messe Friedrichshafen has around one hundred permanent employees. The foundation stone for the Neue Messe Friedrichshafen was laid with the founding of the International Lake Constance Trade Fair IBO in 1950. In addition to trade fairs, congresses, corporate events and cultural events are also held on the versatile, modifiable site.
