One of the highlights of this collaboration is the Pertex Quantum fabric, which is made from NetPlus material - a 100% recycled nylon from old fishing nets. This material replaces conventional nylon, significantly reducing the environmental impact while having a positive impact on fishing communities in South America. Through the cooperation with Burreo, used fishing nets are collected, cleaned, shredded and converted into the NetPlus material in Chile and Peru. The result is a fabric that offers the same properties as conventional nylon, but with a significantly smaller ecological footprint.
