Mey is a family-run company based in Albstadt-Lautlingen on the Swabian Alb, which has been producing high-quality women's and men's underwear since 1928. With over 1,000 employees, Mey produces the majority of its fabrics at its headquarters and manufactures around 90% of its products in Europe. The company attaches great importance to sustainability and quality, which is reflected in the use of certified materials and the introduction of an environmental management system in accordance with EMAS.
Mey has introduced a sports underwear line that stands out thanks to a special combination of materials. The new product combines merino wool and microloop fibers, a combination that ensures efficient moisture wicking thanks to its capillary effect. Moisture is absorbed by the skin and transported to the outside, similar to the physical principle by which a cloth absorbs water. The result is a dry and comfortable feel that is particularly suitable for sporting activities.
The sports underwear was developed with the requirements of mountain sports in mind. While the front is made of lightweight merino wool, a special loop fabric is used on the back. This construction not only offers a high level of comfort, but also optimum temperature and moisture regulation - crucial for intensive physical exertion.
The innovation was honored with the renowned ISPO Award, which underlines the unique position of this product on the market. At the ISPO trade fair in Munich, Mey is presenting the sports underwear in several versions: short-sleeved, long-sleeved and matching pants. Prices start at 69 euros for the short-sleeved version and are around 89 euros for pants. With this combination of functionality and versatility, Mey is making a clear statement in the field of high-quality sportswear.
