With the growing challenges in steel transport, especially with heavy steel volumes that need to be moved by road, a solution is emerging that is not only efficient but also maximizes safety. The rail transportation market can currently barely cope with narrow steel strips, as they are at risk of tipping over when stored conventionally on rails. This is where the solution of a specially designed load carrier comes in, which transports the narrow steel straps in a stable and tilt-proof manner. This innovative rack makes it possible to store the steel straps securely and in a way that protects their shape in order to prevent damage and meet the requirements for securing loads on the railroad.
The specially developed load carrier not only meets the highest safety standards, but also supports the shift of freight transportation from road to rail. This project is part of a larger plan to relieve road traffic and reduce the ecological footprint of freight transport. The shift to rail will reduce CO₂ emissions and increase the efficiency of steel transportation. The aim of this solution is to contribute to the sustainable future of cargo transportation by enabling more goods to be transported by rail.
Special thanks go to the funding measures of the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) and the Ministry of Economics, which enable young companies to present their innovations on international platforms. Without this support, it would be virtually impossible for many companies to present their products and solutions to an international audience. This support is a decisive factor for the growth of innovative technologies in the field of steel transportation and load securing.
