At Fensterbau Frontale - the industry trade fair for windows, doors and façades - Südmetall Beschläge GmbH presents its new products and innovations to the public. The company from Ainring/Hammerau has been in existence since 1995 and employs around 280 people. Südmetall is an expert in door fittings, locking systems and metal construction products.
As a reliable partner for trade and commerce, the extensive range is aimed primarily at glaziers, metalworkers, joiners and carpenters. The door industry as well as manufacturers and specialist installers of security technology are also among the customers of the Bavarian-based company.
Smart locking system for access control in the smart home
Südmetall will have its own stand at Fensterbau Frontale 2024. The showpiece is ÜLock Novus Inductive, a locking system for access control. The highlight: the RFID reader, which elegantly controls access, is housed in the rosette in the smallest possible space. The entire technology is concealed in the lock case - including the reader electronics, which protect against attacks and significantly increase user security. In addition, the comfort lock is equipped with a forced locking function; as soon as the door falls into the lock, it is correctly locked to 20 mm. Power is supplied by induction from the strike plate side. A 12V connection is all that is needed to charge the lock inductively. No battery replacement or wiring of the door leaf is required to transfer the energy. Anyone who opts for ÜLock Novus Inductive gets a sustainable and maintenance-free locking system.
New generation of WC fittings - exxess easy from Südmetall
The exhibitor from Ainring also has a lot more in store for visitors to the trade fair in Nuremberg. With exxess easy, Südmetall is presenting the new generation of WC fittings. The modern fitting, which comes from the premium range, has a fixed/rotatable bearing and a hold-up spring or return spring. The special feature: With the door opener from Südmetall, the locking mechanism is located on the inside of the handle. This means that the locking mechanism is not hidden at the top or bottom - instead, it is conveniently located in the middle. There it blocks the handle and activates the WC mode at the same time.
Regardless of this, exxess easy has all the usual conveniences. For example, a slot on the outside of the fitting helps to open the door in an emergency. Incidentally, the practical system is not only suitable for the WC entrance, but also for other types of access. Mounted on an office door, it can be locked from the outside with a key.
