These innovative devices prevent containers from being completely destroyed in the event of an explosion by diverting the resulting pressure and flames upwards in a controlled manner. This minimizes the risk to personnel, firefighters and the surrounding area, even at major events where such systems are being used more and more frequently. In addition, Vigilex offers gas detectors that can detect accumulations of hydrogen at an early stage and trigger automatic venting. This often prevents an explosion before it occurs. ATEX-certified safety for industrial requirements
Vigilex Energy products are certified to ATEX standards and guarantee maximum reliability. The rupture disks open at a defined pressure of 100 millibars, whereas conventional containers would not withstand this pressure. In the event of an explosion, which can generate pressures of up to 8 to 10 bar, these devices prevent the container from being destroyed and dangerous fragments or flames from escaping in an uncontrolled manner. Even in the event of a thermal runaway, in which a single battery cell can release up to 600 liters of hydrogen, Vigilex solutions ensure safe pressure relief and thus protect people and infrastructure.
