The world of sheet metal processing meets at Blechexpo in Stuttgart and Messe.TV was there to make some of the highlights accessible to a wider target group with editorial videos. One topic that runs through the entire industry is automation.
At the leading international trade fair Blechexpo 2023, more than 1,200 exhibitors showcased their products and services in 9 halls. Particularly innovative developments in the field of sheet metal processing and joining technology are honored at Blechexpo with the "best award". We visited some of the winners such as Jenoptik, Schmalz and Trumpf at their stands. Further information can be found in the articles on the respective companies.
From November 7 to 10, 2023, we were at Messe Stuttgart, where the industry players in sheet metal processing and joining technology once again presented their innovations in the tried-and-tested form of the Blechexpo and Schweisstec trade fairs. As always, the 16th Blechexpo, international trade fair for sheet metal working, was organized by Schall-Messen with the aim of creating a pragmatic trade event with a working character. Sheet metal, tube and profile processing took up Halls 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6, while Pressing, Forming & ShapingTechnology occupied Hall 9. On the first day of the trade fair, the "Blechexpo Steel Convention 2023" took place in the forum area in Hall 10, with the theme of "Challenges on the steel markets in 2023". Looking back, Blechexpo and Schweisstec recorded 9 fully booked halls with 1,256 exhibitors from 38 countries and a total of over 40,000 trade visitors over the 4 days of the trade fair. The trade magazines Blechnet and MM Maschinenmarkt once again presented the "best Award 2023" in five categories based on the restructured hall layout. This award goes to companies for their new products and innovations, which are examined in detail by a jury before the award is presented. The expert trade fair visitors were extremely impressed by the supporting program, including the congress, forums and steel convention. Incidentally, participation in the intensive, know-how-based specialist presentations at the Blechexpo Forum by Schall and the exhibiting companies is free of charge. Exhibitors and visitors are already looking forward to the trade fair in November 2025 with great anticipation. After the Corona years, all participants were and are in agreement that nothing can replace the direct exchange and also the experience on the machines on site. Blechexpo 2023 opened up new approaches for sustainable technologies and addressed the challenges of energy efficiency and resource conservation. The high performance of the industry was reflected in many of the exhibitors' cutting-edge technologies.
