Klaus Dittrich Discusses Bauma: The World’s Largest Trade Fair

We talk to Klaus Dittrich, CEO of Messe München, at bauma 2019 about the largest trade fair in the world. Despite the enormous exhibition space, around 500 companies are on the waiting list for a stand space. The bauma Plus concept was developed to create space for new exhibitors and innovative start-ups.

bauma 2019 sets an exhibitor record with 3,700 exhibitors

bauma is the largest trade fair in the world. With 3,700 exhibitors, bauma 2019 can boast a record number of exhibitors. The exhibition space has been increased once again, but there is still a waiting list of 500 companies for bauma in Munich. It is therefore not so easy for new companies to find space at bauma. However, this development has been taken into account and bauma plus has created an opportunity for companies to participate in this event without being able to show products live. Companies can rent small meeting points where they can meet with their customers and the products are integrated via digital services. Of course, new companies are also entering the market in the start-up sector. Naturally, you want to have them at the trade fair for construction machinery because they are huge drivers of innovation.
