The twin-shaft batch mixer from BHS-Sonthofen is used in projects worldwide for the production of all types of concrete. The traditional company invented the twin-shaft mixer concept back in 1888, making it an industry standard.
At bauma 2019 in Munich, BHS will be showcasing the DKX twin-shaft batch mixer. This is used for the production of all types of concrete. It can be used for the production of dam concretes such as the Longtan Dam in China. There is currently a large construction site in Tibet and it is being used in Zambia, Africa for dam construction. The twin-shaft batch mixer can also be used for all types of ready-mixed concrete, including precast elements.
BHS Sonthofen invented this type of mixer with two shafts in 1880. It is considered the industry standard worldwide. Even if this mixer only runs for one revolution, it would still mix and the whole process is three-dimensional. This means that every particle can be found anywhere in the space of the mixer. This makes it possible to achieve a homogeneous mass in the mix when small quantities are added.
