Tamiya is a renowned Japanese manufacturer of model kits and accessories, known for the high quality of its products. Their models range from detailed military vehicles to precise replicas of racing cars and aircraft models. With a long history in the industry and a focus on accuracy and realism, Tamiya has established a firm place for itself in the world of model making.
TAMIYA has been on the market for decades and is known worldwide. The model building company stands for the highest quality standards and absolute high-end products that make the hearts of all passionate model builders beat faster. Karl Legler from the Japanese model manufacturer TAMIYA-CARSON shows us the latest RC vehicles from TAMIYA at the toy fair in Nuremberg.
For the German model construction market, the company's highlight at the 2024 games fair is the Opel Kadett C Coupé in the rally version, which immediately catches the eye in the video with its bright yellow color. TAMIYA is supplying this vehicle as a model kit. Model building fans can rejoice, as this model car will already be available from the relevant dealers in Germany in spring 2024. The models will also be sold worldwide. The basis is an MB-01 chassis, which has the advantage that the engine can be installed in three different places, as Karl Legler explains in the video using a virtual all-round perspective. This allows a rear-heavy, medium-heavy or front-heavy vehicle to be built. In the video, Karl Legler shows an illustrative computer graphic.
Another model-making highlight at this year's toy fair is the Volvo FH 16 two-axle truck. This will also be launched brand new on the market in 2024. It carries a container from the well-known Danish shipping company Maersk. Its special feature is the incredible detailing of the kit, as TAMIYA sets new standards in the design of the model truck year after year. The model truck even comes with its own passenger figure, as can be clearly seen in the video.
The truck also has a multifunctional unit that imitates the sound of the truck. An unbalance disk ensures that the model can vibrate depending on the speed. But what are the costs associated with the purchase of such a model truck? These start at around 500 euros, although further expenditure is required, such as for the remote control. With the additional components, you can easily spend 1,000 euros or more. In any case, the TAMIYA model truck is very convincing both visually and acoustically.
