Hot water on the road is a decisive comfort factor for campers and motorhomes. The new boiler from the current tigerexped series is a compact and versatile solution that is characterized in particular by its modular and energy-efficient design. Thanks to various heating methods, the boiler can be flexibly adapted to existing systems, enabling greater independence and better energy utilization.
The new boiler is more than just a classic water heater. It can be combined with various heat sources to ensure an efficient hot water supply. It has connections for an air heater, which uses the warm exhaust air to heat the water. In addition, the appliance can be connected to the vehicle's cooling system so that the waste heat generated while driving is used directly to produce hot water. In addition, an electric heating cartridge is installed, which can heat the water independently of other sources. This combination of different heating media creates maximum redundancy, which offers great advantages, especially for campers who travel self-sufficiently. If one energy source is not available, another can be used. This ensures a reliable hot water supply at all times without the need for a large, inefficient heating system.
In addition to the standard model, two new variants were presented at the trade fair: the tigerexped duoBOIL and the monoBOIL. While the duoBOIL is a combination of an electric boiler and a cooling water boiler, the monoBOIL is a particularly compact solution for small vehicles that works exclusively with electrical energy. The monoBOIL is aimed in particular at campers with limited space or vehicles that are not connected to a cooling system. The duoBOIL, on the other hand, enables the use of vehicle waste heat in combination with electricity, which is an ideal solution for long-distance travelers in particular.
Another highlight is the compact design, which facilitates retrofitting in many vehicles. tigerexped offers a comprehensive network of installation partners throughout Germany, so that even users without in-depth vehicle knowledge can obtain a professional installation. Alternatively, there is also the option of seeking advice over the phone in order to install the boiler yourself. The various models are available in sizes from 3.5 liters to 12 liters, so that the right solution is offered for a wide range of vehicle types and needs.
There are several heating cartridges to choose from for electric heating, which are available in different voltages. A 230-volt heating cartridge with 500 watts of power is installed as standard. Alternatively, there are 12-volt models with 300 watts, 24-volt versions with 600 watts and a 110-volt version for the American market with 500 watts. This flexibility ensures that the boiler can be integrated into almost any motorhome or expedition vehicle, regardless of which on-board power supply is used.
Prices vary depending on the size and model. The smallest boiler with a capacity of 3.5 liters starts at around 300 euros, while the larger models with up to 12 liters cost between 600 and 700 euros. They are available through a large network of dealers, which enables both purchase and professional installation. For travelers who want an efficient, space-saving and flexible hot water solution, the new boiler series from tigerexped offers a convincing way to always have hot water on board, independent of large heating systems.
